Golf in the Park 2017

Building around the buzz of the Edinburgh Festival and the forthcoming Ryder Cup, a new golf event will be held in Edinburgh. Golf in the Park, which will take place at Bruntsfield Short Hole Course on Saturday August 23.

The event is based around golf’s historical past, but hopes to inspire and encourage people into golf in the future. Terrific prizes will be on offer on the day, including tickets to The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles next month.
The event will take on a team format, the cost to enter being £100 per team for businesses and £50 for golf clubs.

  • Christmas Market in East Princes Street Gardens

    The Christmas Market will once again return to East Princes St Gardens for a whole host of bespoke and traditional Christmas items!

    The traditional and romantic Christmas Market in the heart of the City of Edinburgh offers a unique shopping experience for every visitor with its fair of crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic surprises. Get into the Christmas spirit!

    Please note: markets are open from 10am - 10pm.
    Markets open at 1pm on 18 November until 6 January. (Closed 25 December, open 12pm 26 December and 1 January).

  • Mindful Peace Walk, Lauriston Castle

    This silent walking meditation is an open event. It will be led by the lay members of the Edinburgh Sangha of the Community of Interbeing, who follow the practice and teachings of Zen Buddhist Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. The walk begins in front of Lauriston Castle, 2 Cramond Road South, Edinburgh. Before the walk begins there will be a brief introduction to mindful walking as meditation practice. Children are welcome when accompanied by adults. Please remember to wrap up warmly.
