Edinburgh Garden and Field of Remembrance, Princes Street Gardens

23 October 2017 -17 November 2017 - Opening ceremony 10am, Mon 30 October 2017, Armistice Day Service: 1000hrs Sat 11 November, Manned daily from 30 October to 13 November 2017 from 0830 to 1630 Wreath laying by Lord Provost, MP/MSPS, Dignitaries and veterans organisations. Garden will display wreaths, military crosses, etc. There will be a Poppy Scotland booth on site.

    The Christmas Market will once again return to East Princes St Gardens for a whole host of bespoke and traditional Christmas items!

    The traditional and romantic Christmas Market in the heart of the City of Edinburgh offers a unique shopping experience for every visitor with its fair of crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic surprises. Get into the Christmas spirit!

    Please note: markets are open from 10am - 10pm.
    Markets open at 1pm on 18 November until 6 January. (Closed 25 December, open 12pm 26 December and 1 January).

  • Mindful Peace Walk, Lauriston Castle

    This silent walking meditation is an open event. It will be led by the lay members of the Edinburgh Sangha of the Community of Interbeing, who follow the practice and teachings of Zen Buddhist Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. The walk begins in front of Lauriston Castle, 2 Cramond Road South, Edinburgh. Before the walk begins there will be a brief introduction to mindful walking as meditation practice. Children are welcome when accompanied by adults. Please remember to wrap up warmly.
